Hi Betty. Well, we’re pretty sure that you never received our reply to your question in February. We had a site upgrade and back-up issue that messed a few things up with emails. We recently discovered that several replies likely never went through. Whether you received a reply or not, we really apologize for the confusion! Although you most likely answered your own question by now, here was our answer regarding preparing a jug of lemon water: The Math: An 8oz glass or mug every morning (we prefer it warm in a mug) is just right. (1) gallon of water = 128oz. That equals (16) 8-ounce glasses/servings. We suggest 1/2 of a lemon per glass. So, that means (8) lemons are added to 1 gallon of water. You might try using (16) limes sometime for variety. Limes, like lemons, are naturally acidic plants that become alkaline in our bodies. Use organic produce if you can and have a great day!
Do limes work the same way as lemons in the “why you should drink lemon water everyday” way? We have been using lemons in the new healthy eating plan we’ve been on. But the other day we bought limes instead…any chance they work the same?
Yes Christi, limes do the trick! Simply put, they are acidic, like lemons, in their natural state. But, in our bodies they become alkaline! There are different varieties of both lemons and limes so enjoy the slight variety of tastes out there. Buy organic if you can. Bottled organic lemon juice can also work, although we prefer freshly squeezed! Take good care.
How much water and how many lemons in a gallon jug and do you drink an 8 Oz glass a day or what
