Have You Known Anyone With Alzheimer’s?

This discovery could have “…profound implications for diseases from autism to Alzheimer’s to multiple sclerosis.”

As reported by The University Of Virginia Health System, June 1, 2015:

In a stunning discovery that overturns decades of textbook teaching, researchers have determined that the brain is directly connected to the immune system by vessels previously thought not to exist. The discovery could have profound implications for diseases from autism to Alzheimer’s to multiple sclerosis.

Do you have a loved one suffering from Alzheimer’s or another terrible brain disease?  Both my father and father-in-law ultimately died from Alzheimer’s and I HATE that disease!  “Hate” is a strong word, as we say in my family.  But it’s actually not strong enough to me!  It’s a cruel torture to have to endure directly or indirectly.  Very few of us do not have some sort of connection to brain disease through family or friends.

I’m always on the look out for new discoveries that might keep others from going through the suffering that brain disease brings.  The news of this discovery brought a bit of hope and joy to my heart.  I hope you’ll feel the same way.  Here’s to hope for the future!
